A GATED COMMUNITY
Woodland Park Estates has been developed as a gated community, with community restrictions, in an effort to give the residents an opportunity to have a more secure community with property values that are not diminished by run-down properties.
Once installed, the gates of Woodland Park Estates will close for 11 hours during the nighttime. Our goal is to give the residents every opportunity to enhance their security by having barriers to traffic during high risk hours. Although no method can guarantee the security of a community, there are many ways to enhance the security by limiting the traffic of non community people.
A gated community communicates the idea that casual traffic is discouraged, and that the people of the community are serious about the security of their property and their loved ones. The trails further enhance the security of the people and the children by encouraging the movement throughout the community in the rear of each property instead of in the streets. Having our children play on the trails and in the parks further enhances their safety by keeping them out of the streets.
Having entertainment value within the community with amenities such as; the walking trails, the parks, the tennis court, and the retention lake, gives the residents an opportunity to recreate within their community, instead of having to travel for the entertainment. And still, the residents have the lake and its many opportunities for enjoyment within 2,800 feet of the development. This close proximity allows the residents to keep their boats safe within their large garages, and travel to the loading docks with in minutes, avoiding the cost of maintaining docks, lifts, fees for dockage and wear and tear on their boats.
